My kid found a way out of the kiosk

That shouldn't happen often. Run through the four-point check:

  1. Is Kidlyoo set as your Home app? Settings - Apps - Default apps - Home.
  2. Is Accessibility granted? Settings - Accessibility - Kidlyoo Watchdog.
  3. Is Battery exemption granted? Settings - Apps - Kidlyoo - Battery.
  4. On Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, OnePlus, Realme or Vivo: is Kidlyoo in the "Never sleeping" list? See the per-OEM setup guide.

If all four are green and the kid still escapes, email support@kidlyoo.com with the device model and what they did. We'll dig in.

A video that worked yesterday now shows "Video unavailable"

That's YouTube. The video was probably deleted, made private, or restricted in your country. You can remove it from your library or replace it with another version.

The app crashed or froze

Force-stop and reopen. If it keeps happening, email us with your device model and what you were doing when it crashed. We send anonymous crash reports through Google Play, but a description from you helps us reproduce it.

Battery is draining too fast

The Watchdog uses about 0.5 to 1% battery per hour while a kid is in a session. Outside sessions, essentially nothing. If you're seeing far more than that:

  • Check that you don't have two parental-control apps running at once.
  • Make sure no other app is also in "Never sleeping" mode unnecessarily.
  • Restart the device once a week.

Still high? Email support with your device model and average session length.

I forgot my PIN

Recovery options:

  1. Device biometric (fingerprint or face) if you set it up earlier.
  2. Your account password.
  3. Email reset link.

You always have a way back in.
