Why these phones need extra steps
ColorOS, RealmeUI and OxygenOS share a common ancestor and behave similarly: they aggressively suspend background services unless you exempt the app. Without the exemption, Kidlyoo's Watchdog will be terminated.
Step 1: Battery optimisation - Don't optimise
- Open Settings.
- Tap Battery.
- Tap Battery optimisation (or App battery management on some versions).
- Find Kidlyoo.
- Choose Don't optimise.
Step 2 (Oppo and Realme): Allow auto-launch
- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps, then App management.
- Find and tap Kidlyoo.
- Enable Allow auto-launch.
On OnePlus running OxygenOS 13 and newer, only Step 1 is required. On older OnePlus versions, also enable Allow background activity if available.
